Juan Carlos Orozco is founder and CEO of ACELAB Industrial Automation since 1991. He holds a BEng. in Electronics from Monterrey Tech (Monterrey Campus) and a MSc in Electrical Engineer from Stanford University. Juan Carlos has been lecturer at Monterrey Tech and also given specialised seminars at Universidad Panamericana. He has designed and supervised more than 200 automation projects for various types of industries like Textile, Chemical, Petrochemical, Metal mechanic, Leather Tannery (including TECO Westinghouse, PEMEX, Coca Cola FEMSA, Polimeros y Derivados, Grupo Modelo among others). Juan Carlos has developed several research projects in the area of industrial automation supported by the Mexican Council of Science and Technology (CONACyT). Additionally, Juan Carlos has 3 patents in the area of electrical engineering and automation. He has been invited speaker at Katholieke Universtait Leuven, Belgium as part of the workshop "Plan Supervision using Linux". He has also been invited speaker at Veracruz Linux Convention Gulev 2001 with the keynote entitled: "Industrial Automation Using Open Source Software". He was co-editor of the workshop Proceedings of the 8th International Conference on Intelligent Environments (IOS Press, 2012). He is co-organiser of the Workshop on Automation using Intelligent Environments Paradigm (Guanajuato, México 2012 and Shanghai China 2014). Juan Carlos is also co-founder of the special interest group in the field of innovation "Grupo de Innovacion 100", located in the "Parque Tecnologico CIEN" from Monterrey Tech Campus Leon, México.

Dr Víctor M. Zamudio is a researcher at Instituto Tecnológico de León (ITL), México. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Essex, UK, a MSc in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) from Monterrey Tech and a BSc (Physics) from UASLP Mexico. His main area of research is cyclic instability in rule-based multi agent systems. He has coauthored publications in workshops, conferences, journals and books. He is co-organiser of the 2nd Workshop on Automation using Intelligent Environments Paradigm (A-IE´14). Victor has been General Chair in the 8th International Conference on Intelligent Environments IE'12 (Guanajuato, Mexico), workshop co-chair in IE'11 (Nottingham, UK), Regional Area Advisor Chair (IE'10 Malaysia) and Publicity Chair in IE'09, IE´13 and IE´14. He has co-edited the workshop proceedings of the 7th International Conference on Intelligent Environments (IOS Press, 2011), the workshop Proceedings of the 8th International Conference on Intelligent Environments (IOS Press, 2012) and the Thematic Issue on Designing and Deploying Intelligent Environments (JAISE, September 2013) Additionally Victor is member of the Mexican Computer Science Society (SMCC), and also of IEEE and ACM.
